Recipe Studio

Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 15, 2026

This policy explains how Recipe Studio handles information when you use our website and services. Recipe Studio is operated by GP software.

1. Information we collect

When you create an account, we receive the information needed to authenticate you, such as your email address and authentication identifiers. If you sign in with Google, Google may provide your name, email address, profile image, and provider identifier. We use this information to create and secure your account and display your profile. We do not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Contacts, or other Google services beyond the authentication information required for sign-in.

We collect content that you choose to save in Recipe Studio, including recipes, ingredients, instructions, folders, custom conversion settings, notes, version history, and sharing settings. Guest content may remain in your browser local storage until you remove it or it is migrated after sign-in.

If you contact us, we receive the email address, subject, message, category, and page URL that you submit. If you purchase a paid plan or credits, Stripe processes payment details. Recipe Studio receives billing and subscription status needed to provide the paid service; we do not store full payment card numbers.

If you use AI import, images or public recipe-page text may be sent to Google Gemini to extract recipe information. Images are processed for the import and are not stored by Recipe Studio after processing. Do not submit sensitive or confidential information in an AI import.

Recipe Studio uses browser local storage and session storage for guest recipes, drafts, conversion history, preferences, temporary checkout state, and authentication session behavior. We also use essential cookies or equivalent browser storage needed for the application to work. The current application does not send production analytics events to a third-party analytics provider.

2. How we use information

3. When we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to operate the service, at your direction, or as required by law.

Convex hosts application data, authentication, and backend services. Google provides Google sign-in and, when used, Gemini processing for AI imports. Resend delivers recipe-share and support emails. Stripe processes payments and subscription billing. YouTube may provide public video metadata when you import a supported public YouTube URL. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our terms, investigate abuse, or protect rights and safety.

4. Retention and deletion

We retain account and saved content while your account remains active or as needed to provide the service. You may request account and content deletion by contacting us. We may retain limited information for legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute, or backup purposes for a reasonable period. Information kept in your browser local storage is controlled by you and can be removed through your browser settings or the relevant app controls.

5. Your choices

6. Security

We use access controls and service providers designed to protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so please use a strong password and do not submit information that you do not want processed by the relevant feature.

7. Children

Recipe Studio is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the service or our data practices change. We will update the effective date and publish the revised policy on this page. Continued use of Recipe Studio after an update means the revised policy applies to future use.

9. Contact

Questions, privacy requests, and deletion requests can be sent to [email protected].
